This month’s featured art project is “blown ink”. This project creates a colorful, abstract design. This project is a fun way for people with limited mobility to create art.
For this project you will need three things: paper, a straw and food coloring (or colored ink).
First, you’ll need to make a droplet of coloring on the bottom of the paper. You’ll need to make it at the bottom of the paper so there is plenty of room to move the “ink” up.
Next, take the straw and blow the droplet around the paper.
You can add several different colors and try to steer them in several different directions. Some of the colors may overlap to create new colors.
Add as many or as few drops of color as you like to create the “blown ink” effect. This colorful activity is a great way to make art with just the power of your breath.
