With spring coming there are a lot of birthdays to consider. Here is a recent birthday card design that our clients worked on for the CSN store and card orders; a stylish birthday card.
Here are the supplies needed:
Step 1) Stamp “happy birthday” on the small piece of white paper.
Step 2) Tape the small piece of white paper to the slightly larger black paper.
Step 3) Now tape that paper on to the pattern rectangle, making sure to keep them all centered.
Step 4) Continue with the layering, but placing the patterned rectangle on top of a larger patterned paper.
Step 5) Now we can add the finished graphic to the card face.
And now we have a stylish, finished card!

Although summer is still here, it never hurts to be prepared with your autumn cards and decorations. For this cute card design, we have a lovely orange pumpkin and some foliage that one of our clients put together.
For a recent cooking class we made a delicious broccoli salad! It’s healthy, tasty and a great salad to make for a nice summer picnic.
First, let’s look at what we need for supplies.
Next, let’s take a look at our direction board and see what steps we need to do to make our salad.
First, we need to cut the broccoli into smaller pieces.
Then, we need to cut the onions.
Then, we need to add the chopped broccoli and chopped onion to the bowl. After that, measure out the bacon bits.
Last, but not least, we can add the cheese!
Now it’s time to make the dressing. Combine mayo, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Then we will blend the dressing in the blender to make it smooth.
Add the dressing to the salad and mix it well.
And there you have your finished broccoli salad! It’s a delicious and refreshing snack!
In a recent cooking class the group made strawberry ice cream. The ingredients used were low-fat milk, vanilla, sugar, strawberry, ice, and salt. It was a delicious treat for the nice warm weather we are beginning to experience.
First the group had to combine ingredients together, including one cup of milk, half teaspoon of vanilla, and two table spoons of sugar.
First, they they put all the ingredients in small bags.
Then, they filled gallon sized bags with ice and salt, and placed the bags that contained liquid into the bags of ice. Lastly, they shook them as hard as they could until it was hardened and thick.
This is what some of the clients involved had to say about the snack:
“I helped in cooking class today by chopping strawberries.” – Dawn
“My favorite part of cooking class today was shaking the Ice cream bag.” – Nelson
“I can remember one of the ingredients used in the snack today. It’s called low-fat milk.” – Nikki
“Of course, I liked the snack today.” – Mike.
“Today I learned that food can be a science experiment.” – Job Coach
