This week’s cooking class snack was cool corn relish. The ingredients used were fresh corn, onions, lime, olive oil, and salt.
First the group had to husk the corn.
Then they diced onions.
Then they combined the ingredients.
Then the group enjoyed the completed snack.
This is what some of the clients involved had to say about the snack:
“I helped in cooking class today by cutting red bell peppers.” -Jim
“My favorite part of cooking class today was dicing onions.” -Andi
“What kind of ingredient used in the snack today? It’s called corn.” -Me (Michael H)
“Of course I liked the snack today.” -Sharon
“What did I learn about food today?” Corn tastes better when it’s fresh and fully grown. -Job Coach Kevin
