In this week’s sign language class Sarah taught staff how to sign the word “holiday”: hold both hands open by your chest, palms facing one another. Then touch your thumbs to your chest twice.
Last month our staff learned how to sign the song “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King. We also started to explore the use of past and future tense when signing sentences, so we spent a fair amount of time practicing this new grammar and quizzing ourselves. To go along with this new grammar, we learned some new verbs as well. Coming up this month, we will be learning a new song, practicing different tenses, and working on expressing negatives.
Our team wishes you a happy holiday season and all the best for the new year! In January Michael will be back with recipes from cooking class – we’re looking forward to it!
