This week’s cook group snack was chop salad. The ingredients used were a cucumber, roma tomato, red bell pepper, red onion, black beans, olive oil, and oregano.
First, the group washed the tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers. Then, they cut all the vegetables into small pieces.
Next they mixed all the ingredients.
Then the group enjoyed the completed snack.
This is what some of the clients involved had to say about the snack:
“I helped the cooking class today by putting onions in a blue bowl.” C.J.
“My favorite part of cooking class today was cutting tomatoes.” Justin
“I can remember one of the ingredients used in the snack today. It’s called tomato.” Dawn
“I liked the snack today.” Nikki
“One thing I learned about food today was the onions made everybody cry.” Job Coach D.C.
